As part of the production process for our latest marketing and pr film we enlisted the help of voiceover artist Jon Briggs, better known as the voice of Siri on Apple iPhone and the narrator on The Weakest Link. Jon does a fantastic job – and has the uncanny ability to sound like a recording the moment the record button is pressed.
The film we were making was the follow up to an infographic we put together last year to illustrate the key ethical reasons shoppers should be buying South African fruit. These include the fact that every hectare of fruit planted in South Africa creates a full-time job; that each job helps provide for a family of five; and that around 99 per cent of fruit travels from the country not by air but by ship, one of the most efficient, and therefore more environmentally friendly, means of transport there are.
This year, we are highlighting these points in this quirky short film, shot on the hottest day of the year (so far) in sunny Chichester with Carl Pendle. Carl is one of a new generation of photographers who have expanded their talents to incorporate videography. We contacted Carl after seeing his equally quirky: “Is it 5-a-day, 7-a-day or 10-a-day” film on Twitter.
We’ll be using the film on social media in the next few days.
Thought for the day: “Seeking out and working with talented people and companies helps us produce exciting content for our clients’ promotional campaigns”
